2/19/13

  • Do you think your total expense list was on the money? higher? lower? than what it should be? Why do you think that?
  • What expenses could you cut corners on if you had to do it again?
Choose one of the careers in your list they  gave you . What was the:
  • method of entry
  • top five important job skills
  • licensing/certification required (if any)
  • Was the labor market information for wages in your chosen city higher/lower than that for Texas and for the nation?
  • What about information on job openings each year in the career you chose?

Go back and start the Reality check over. Choose the exact same expenses you did the first time, but choose a different city. What happened to your expense list? Which ones were different, and why do you think so? Was your career list the same or different, and how was it different?

Type a paragraph about the profiler test you just took.

  • Did you notice any similarities in questions?
  • Were there questions that seemed to be repeated?
  • If so, why do you think they were repeated?
  • Did the list of potential careers have anything that you know you were already interested in? If so, what was it?
